April has been a month filled with soap reunions and the next two weeks will bring even more fan favorites to “The Locher Room” as host Alan Locher brings a fresh batch of “Guiding Light” alums together.

The virtual reunions have been part of a series that are streamed on Locher’s YouTube channel with all “GL”-related sessions taking place at 3:00 p.m. EDT, the same time period the show was officially scheduled to air on the east coast during its broadcast run on CBS.

On Tuesday, April 21, Matt and Vanessa Reardon (Maeve Kinkead and Kurt McKinney) reunite along with Vanessa’s daughter, Dinah (Gina Tognoni), and “Little Bill” (Bryan Buffinton). Buffington played Bill “Little Bill” Lewis III from 1989 to 1998. To join the Reardon family reunion of sorts, click here.

On Wednesday, April 22, it will be a “GL” and “General Hospital” mashup as several current Port Charles residents return to their Springfield roots as Wes Ramsey (ex-Sam; Peter “GH”), Emme Rylan (ex-Lizzie; Lulu, “GH”), Cynthia Watros (ex-Annie; Nina, “GH”) and Laura Wright (ex-Cassie; Carly, “GH”) join Locher and former co-star Daniel Cosgrove (ex-Bill) for a chat. Cosgrove played Bill Lewis III off and on from 2002-2009. To set your alarm for this reunion, click here.

On Wednesday, April 29, look for Crystal Chappell (ex-Olivia) and Jessica Leccia (Natalia), better known as “Otalia,” Michelle Ray Smith (ex-Ava), Frank Dicopoulos (ex-Frank) and E.J. Bonilla (ex-Rafe). To join the gang for their reunion, click here.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Celebrates World Emoji Day

Monday, July 17 was World Emoji Day and CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” got in on the action.

In the 15-second video released on its social media platforms, daytime’s number one drama compiled a series of images showing its stars holding stuffed emojis, including your standard go-to’s: angry face, kissy face, hearts, tears and even a bag of s***.

In the video below it seems the various emojis provide a telling tale of where the storylines involving Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Billy (Jason Thompson), Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Jack (Peter Bergman), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Devon (Bryton James), Cane (Daniel Goddard), Lily (Christel Khalil) and others are heading, or in some cases, continuing. The video ended with the words “We Love You, Fans” (“love” was symbolized with a heart).

In addition to celebrating the day itself, the timing of the “Y&R” video might have something to do with the upcoming release of “The Emoji Movie” by Sony Pictures, whose television division holds majority ownership of the soap opera. The movie is set for release in theaters on Friday, July 28.

After spending the last three seasons on CBS’ “Life in Pieces” as Clementine Hughes, actress Hunter King is returning to “The Young and the Restless,” and this time Summer Newman is ready for some action and adventure!

In its newly released promo for the week of June 4, “Y&R” is promising you’ll be seeing a side of Summer you’ve never seen before, especially as she arrives back in Genoa City in a fiery red hot sports car ready to stir things up.

“Hey, mom. Hi, Billy,” are the first words uttered by Summer as she walks in on her mother, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni), and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) after they’ve just been intimate. After the two get dressed, she then asks her mother, “How many married men have you slept with?”

If that wasn’t enough drama, Summer heads to the Genoa City Athletic Club rooftop bar where she’s seen flirting with Arturo (Jason Canela), which causes Abby (Melissa Ordway) to step in and take action. Later, Summer gets into further trouble when she gets thrown in jail! What did she do? You’ll just have to tune in to find out!

Although King is said to have returned to the soap on contract, the actress is still a full-time cast member of “Life in Pieces,” meaning she’ll be pulling double-duty on both shows. “Life in Pieces” is slated to return midseason on CBS which gives Summer ample time to make her mark in Genoa City.

In addition to King’s return on Monday, June 4, look for “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Girardi to pop back into town as Farrah Dubose. She’ll share scenes with Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) and Mishael Morgan (Hilary Curtis).

You can view this week’s “Y&R” promo below.
